Otley Courthouse is a unique development run by people in Otley, West Yorkshire. After an eight year development period we transformed a redundant nineteenth century magistrates court into a unique arts and resource centre for our community.

Provided the event has not sold out, tickets are available to buy on the door.

Fees & charges:

All fees and charges are included in the advertised ticket price. No additional charges will apply.

Most of our seats are on the ground floor and are tiered, with some additional rows of chairs on the flat and the remainder of the seats on a balcony facing the stage area.

All events are seated unless advertised otherwise.

Seats are unreserved and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible, with level entry, a lift to the first floor and disabled toilets.

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.

An induction loop is available in the Courtroom.

Where possible, our screenings are captioned.

If you need a companion to accompany you to events, please call our box office to book your tickets. One free companion ticket will be made available.

If you have any specific access requirements and need specific seats reserved, please call our box office. Please note that we can only reserve up to 4 seats if you are booking in a group.

Where a concessionary price is listed, these tickets are available for: 

  • Under 16s or those in full time education
  • Anyone in receipt of state benefits
  • Senior citizens (60+ and not in paid employment)
  • If a family price is listed, this is for any combination of four tickets, whether adult or child.

All tickets are non-refundable, except in the case of a cancelled performance.

For sold out performances it may be possible to resell your tickets. Please contact the box office and do not use third-party resell sites.

  • Payment for tickets must be made in full at time of purchase.
  • All tickets are non-refundable & non-exchangeable, except in the case of events cancelled by the venue.
  • Tickets can be booked on the Courthouse website, or via the box office in person or on the phone. The box office is open Monday – Friday 10am – 2.30pm & Saturday 10am – 2pm, except on bank holidays and during Christmas closure. Opening times may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • The price of tickets may vary and will be clearly stated against each individual event listing. All ticket prices will include any fees and charges.
  • For group bookings including schools and community groups, please contact us directly.
  • Resale of tickets may be possible if the event sells out and there is a waiting list. In these circumstances, if you have an unwanted ticket, please contact us at the earliest opportunity.
  • Otley Courthouse reserves the right to alter or amend the programme, prices and information as necessary.
  • If an event is cancelled, Otley Courthouse will announce the details as soon as possible and ticket-holders will be contacted by a member of staff via the email address / telephone number provided.
  • It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all contact details are current and correct
  • It is the customers responsibility to check the website and newsletter regularly for updates.
  • Every member of the audience must have a valid ticket for the event.
  • Tickets must be shown to gain entry to the event. However, this does not need to be a paper ticket – we accept guests showing e-tickets on their smartphone or other device
  • Some events will be age restricted and it is the responsibility of the ticket holder to check before purchasing.
  • Young People under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult except when otherwise advertised
  • Children under the age of two, who do not require a seat, do not require a ticket.
  • Concessionary tickets may be available to some events. Where listed, these tickets are available for the following groups: Under 16s, people in receipt of benefits, in full time education and senior citizens (60+ and not in paid employment)
  • If you have purchased a Concessionary ticket, you may be asked to provide proof of appropriate concession status in order to gain entry to the event.
  • Please let us know in advance if you have any specific access requirements by phoning the box office or emailing director@otleycourthouse.org.uk
  • The Courthouse is fully accessible. If a customer requires a companion to accompany them, they are entitled to one additional FREE ticket when they book. This can only be done in house or over the phone.
  • Please note that seat reservations for those with access requirements are limited to a maximum group of 4.
  • Please arrive on time as latecomers may be refused admission to the auditorium or will have to wait until the interval.
  • Otley Courthouse reserves the right to refuse admission and eject a ticket holder without refund for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury or nuisance.
  • Please do not use recording devices of any kind during performances. Please ensure all mobile devices are switched off before entering the auditorium.

By Car

Otley Courthouse is right next to Leeds City Council Pay & Display car parks on Courthouse Street / NorthParade. They are inexpensive and free to use after 5.30pm. Disabled badge holders can park for free at any time.

 

By Public Transport

From Leeds:
Take either the 25 or 26 bus to Otley Bus Station. From there it is a short 3 minute walk to the Courthouse
Take the train to Menston and then hop on the 962 bus to Otley Bus Station

From Bradford:
Take the train to Menston and then hop on the 962 bus to Otley Bus Station
