Jon Palmer Acoustic Band

Music Doors: 7:15 pm Show Starts: 8:00 pm

Advance Price: £11

Local folk/rock favourites, Jon Palmer Acoustic Band, return for their 10th consecutive annual show at Otley Courthouse. The award winning 6 piece band have a fearsome reputation as a live act, and a string of critically acclaimed albums to their name.

This time round they are promising a more retrospective “greatest hits” feel to much of the show, and are open to suggestions, via the band’s website www.jonpalmeracousticband.com for which songs they should consider reviving.

The band includes a wealth of well known local musicians and the current line up is Jon Palmer – guitar, vocals; Adam Hopkins – cajon, vocals; Wendy Ross – violin, vocals; Ryan Griffiths – bass, vocals; Iain Cunningham – keyboards, vocals; Lee Wellbrook – mandolin, vocals).

Mixing the traditional with the contemporary, and never afraid to comment on current topics, Jon Palmer writes songs with soaring, memorable choruses that you will have trouble getting out of your head. The band’s last album, Light Goes Low, released in 2025, enjoyed great reviews and the they continue to go from strength to strength.

“Energy filled folk-rock spilled from a 6-piece that hit the audience straight between the ears right from the start, rarely letting up” – Fatea

“…their joy illuminated the venue with feel-good folk-rock with spirit and a conscience” – At The Barrier

“…the biggest noise of the weekend, topped with 6-part harmonies, flying fiddle, energy, joy and spirit” – Folk North West
