Children’s Art Workshop – Mythical Creatures: Collage and Painting Inspired by the Bestiary
Advance Price: Door Price: £26
Children will step into a world of imagination and legend in this magical mixed-media workshop. Age 7 – 12.
10 am – 3 pm.
Inspired by The Bestiary — one of the most popular illuminated books of the medieval world — pupils will design their own mythical creature, blending features from real and imagined animals.
Using creative collage techniques, they will build fantastical beasts full of character and detail. These imaginative designs will then be transformed into vibrant paintings, as children explore colour, texture, and storytelling through their artwork.
From fiery dragons to mysterious sea creatures, this hands-on session encourages curiosity, creativity, and playful invention.
This workshop is led by Emma-Jayne Emmott, a qualified teacher, professional photographer and resident artist at The Otley Courthouse.
Children will need to bring a snack and packed lunch.
