However Helen’s furious husband, determined to get her back, assembled a fleet of a thousand ships, sailed to Troy and laid siege to the city. Now, all the mightiest Princes of Ancient Greece are camped before Troy’s high walls in their black, beached ships.

Award-winning storyteller Clare Goodall and historical musician Lizzie Gutteridge combine forces to bring you an epic tale of love, tragedy and loss in an energetic and punchy adaptation, where the characters come to life even if that life then ends brutally in bloodshed. Atmospheric musical accompaniment adds to the impact, with a mixture of ancient Greek music and improvisation on aulos (ancient double pipes) and lyres.
