Children’s Lego Printing Workshop – Part of the Seasons of Culture Programme 2026

Join us for a fun packed afternoon of creativity! Age 9+
1pm – 3pm
In this fun workshop we will be exploring how to use lego to make a multi colour print.
Our inspiration will come from the creatures living in and around our local river, from otters and bees to beetles and fish. You will not believe how busy a river can be!
You will draw out your design and then use smooth plates to recreate the image in lego.
We then roll ink over the surface, add paper and transfer the image over. Once this has dried a bit, we can then change the design and reprint another colour over the top.
You will be amazed at what you can achieve!
Please note we will use water based ink, but the process can be a little messy so don’t wear “good” clothes. If you have an apron that would be great.
This workshop is led by Andy the Saltaire Printmaker, who runs numerous printmaking workshops all over West Yorkshire.
Please buy 1 ticket per child attending. Parents/carers do not need to stay.
This project is part of the Seasons of Culture Programme funded by West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council through the Leeds Cultural Investment Programme.
