Heritage Open Day: Foundations and Facades

Community Doors: 10:00 am Show Starts: 10:00 am

Architecture is the theme for 2025 Heritage Open Day.

Otley Museum’s Foundations and Facades exhibition explores the work of Alfred Marshall, the Victorian architect behind landmarks like the Jubilee Clock.
Two pen and ink workshops with Emma-Jayne Emmott invite participants (age 7+) to draw Otley’s historic buildings and contribute to a collaborative artwork.
Guided tours of the former Courthouse, cell block and police station run hourly. Booking required and will open on 28th July.
In the foyer, a drop-in building activity using traditional wooden blocks, designed by Wharfedale Men’s Shed, is open to all ages.
Otley Players will present two courtyard performances inspired by the town’s past. No booking needed, times will be published at a later date.
