Community Spoken Word Talk Doors: 6:45 pm Show Starts: 7:30 pm

Advance Price: £6 Standard Ticket & Book : £14.99

This event is a collaboration with the Bookshop on the Square
John R. Ellis has lived in Yorkshire for most of his life and has spent many years exploring Yorkshire’s diverse landscapes, history, language and communities.
After a career in teaching, he turned to writing and started his bestselling Yorkshire Murder Mystery series, as well as writing poetry and ghost stories amongst other things.
If you pop along to the Courthouse on a Monday morning though, you can spot him behind the counter of the Cafe – he has been a volunteer at the Courthouse for more than 10 years!
We are delighted to host the book launch for his upcoming book ‘The Otley Murders’ in association with The Bookshop on the Square.
The evening will include an interview with John, a dramatic reading and a Q&A session as well as the opportunity to buy his book and have it signed.
And of course our bar will be open.
If you would like a copy of the book, you can either pre-order it with your ticket purchase or buy it on the night!
