La Déferlance

Formed in 2018, La Déferlance are a six time CFMA nominated Quebec based group offering a fresh, brightly coloured take on traditional Québécois music. Their repertoire combines imaginative arrangements of lively traditional tunes with original compositions rooted in the province’s rich folk
heritage.
Drawing on backgrounds in jazz, classical, and traditional music, the band delivers energetic, polished performances that have
earned them recognition on the Canadian folk and roots circuit for both musicianship and inventive arrangements.
Now touring across North America, La Déferlance present their show Âmes des bois, created from their second album released in
2025, continuing to build their reputation as a distinctive and dynamic voice in contemporary Quebec traditional music.
